On July 14 2026, Perth‑based metalcore outfit Make Them Suffer announced that the recording of their sixth studio album is complete. The band shared a series of behind‑the‑scenes photos on its social‑media accounts, confirming that the sessions, held at The Hallway Studios, were finished under the guidance of producer Dan Braunstein—known for his work with Spiritbox and Dayseeker.

The group’s catalog began with the self‑released EP Lord of Woe in September 2010. Two years later, in February 2012, they signed with Roadrunner Records and released their debut studio effort, Neverbloom, on May 25 2012. The album peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Album charts in June 2012, and the single “Let Me In” followed in May 2014.

Old Souls, the second album, dropped on May 29 2015 and entered the ARIA charts at No. 30. In January 2016 the band secured an international deal with Rise Records. That month they issued the track “Ether” on June 14 2016, and a deluxe edition of Old Souls—featuring the remastered Lord of Woe EP and “Ether”—was released on August 19 2016.

In 2017, Make Them Suffer announced their third studio album, Worlds Apart, and released the single “Fireworks” on June 7. Two days later, founding members Lachlan Monty, Louisa Burton, and Chris Arias‑Real departed. Keyboardist Booka Nile and bassist Jaya Jeffery joined the lineup. The album was supported by a headline tour across Canada, the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia, with acts such as Wage War, Enterprise Earth, Novelists, Spite, and Alpha Wolf.

The band continued touring in 2018, playing the United States with After the Burial and The Acacia Strain, and released the single “27” on July 24 2018. A North American tour in 2019 featured Born of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, and Kingdom of Giants, and the single “Hollowed Heart” was issued on June 7 2019.

In 2024, Make Them Suffer signed with SharpTone Records and released a self‑titled fifth studio album, Make Them Suffer, on November 8 2024. The record introduced keyboardist/co‑lead vocalist Alex Reade and was distributed worldwide through SharpTone.

The latest recording sessions, completed in July 2026, were overseen by Braunstein, who has become a sought‑after producer in modern metal. While the band has not announced a title or release date for the new project, the social‑media post confirmed that production is finished and that distribution plans are still pending.

Make Them Suffer’s journey—from a self‑released EP to a series of label deals and international tours—has seen the band evolve from a death‑/black‑metal‑influenced sound to a more progressive metalcore style. The completion of the sixth album marks the next chapter in a career that has spanned over a decade and includes charting releases, lineup changes, and sustained touring activity.

As of now, the band’s official channels have not provided further details. Fans and industry observers will need to await a formal announcement to learn the album’s title, release date, and distribution strategy.
