Amy Crawford Elected National President of Association of Music Producers
Crawford’s election comes after more than three years of active service in AMP’s East chapter, where she most recently held the position of East Coast president. Prior to that, she served on the chapter’s board and on the Programming and Communications Committees, which organize events and disseminate information to AMP members.
AMP is a trade group that represents independent music and audio post companies. Its members provide original music, music supervision, licensing, sync, audio post, and mixing services to advertising agencies, brands, and other clients. The organization has grown in membership and influence since the pandemic, and its 2026 AMP Awards were described as one of the most successful events in AMP’s history.
In a statement released after the election, Crawford said the organization faces new challenges, including the rise of AI‑generated music and shifting dynamics at major advertising agencies. She added that AMP’s role is to support its members—many of whom produce work with global impact—by staying ahead of industry changes.
Crawford highlighted membership growth as a result of welcoming newcomers, offering networking opportunities, fostering knowledge sharing, and delivering thought leadership at industry events. She also noted that the Social Inclusion & Culture Committee has secured new funding for a scholarship program, expanding diversity across AMP’s boards and committees.
Education and mentorship remain a priority for the organization. Crawford, who has toured internationally with artists such as Anthony Braxton and continues to write and produce music, said she is committed to mentoring emerging talent at the agency and client levels.
Adrian Womack, executive creative producer at Racket Club, will become president of AMP’s East chapter board. He stated that he looks forward to serving alongside Crawford and Jean Scofield, the new West chapter president.
Scofield, an executive creative producer and partner at Mophonics, said her goal is to create more channels for sharing AMP’s collective knowledge, to unite the increasingly remote network, and to foster visibility, mentorship, and access.
The three leaders will work together to keep AMP at the forefront of the music and audio post industry. Their combined experience spans creative development, production, and partnership work across major platforms and brands.
AMP’s focus on AI, agency dynamics, and diversity reflects broader trends in the music and entertainment sectors. The organization’s recent scholarship funding and emphasis on mentorship signal a continued commitment to supporting the next generation of music professionals.
The election of Crawford, Womack, and Scofield marks a new chapter for AMP, positioning the association to address emerging challenges while building on the momentum generated during the pandemic and the success of the 2026 awards.
The organization’s leadership will continue to engage members through events, educational programs, and advocacy, aiming to maintain AMP’s relevance and influence in a rapidly evolving industry.
The current leadership team is set to guide AMP through the next cycle of membership growth, industry innovation, and continued support for independent music and audio post companies.
