Don Felder is an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known for his work with the band Eagles. Born in Gainesville, Florida, in 1947, he became a key contributor to the band’s signature sound during their most successful period in the 1970s. Felder joined the Eagles in 1974 and played a major role in shaping their evolving rock sound. He is best known for co-writing and performing the iconic guitar parts on “Hotel California,” including its famous dual guitar solo, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest in rock history. His contributions added a harder, more guitar-driven edge to the band’s music.
